FAQ
Thriftly is a college marketplace app where verified students buy and sell used items with other students at their own school — things like dorm furniture, textbooks, electronics, clothing, and bikes. It has built-in chat and a social feed so you can follow other students and see new listings around campus.
Thriftly is currently live at Florida State University (FSU), Florida A&M University (FAMU) and Tallahassee State College (TSC). It is coming soon to University of Florida (UF) and University of Central Florida (UCF), where students can join the waitlist. Students at other schools can request Thriftly for their campus.
Thriftly is for currently enrolled college students. You sign up with a valid university or college email address, which keeps each campus marketplace limited to verified students.
Download Thriftly on the App Store or Google Play, verify your school email, then post a listing with photos, a price, and a category. Interested students message you through in-app chat and you arrange a pickup on or near campus.
Yes. Thriftly is available on the Apple App Store for iPhone and on Google Play for Android.
Thriftly is only for verified college students at your school, so you are buying and selling with classmates instead of strangers. Listings are local to your campus, which makes pickups quick, and the app is built around what students actually trade — dorm essentials, textbooks, tech, and move-out sales.
Use the Request Campus form on thriftly.us with your .edu email and your school's name. Campuses with the most student requests are launched first.
